Hi,

I am from the Philadelphia region. I should be able to apply for my I-140 in a week or so. Does anyone know approximately how long it would take me if I applied the NON-Premium way?

Nebrasaka takes anywhere between 3 to 8 months. Texas takes anywhere from 12 days (in my case) to 2 months.
Texas is much faster.

my 140 was approved a week and a half back ..and i asked my attorney ..if my date was successfully ported..and he is refusing to divulge the information and telling me to contact my company..

1.) i know 140 is a employers prerogative and all that jazz..but should i not get a copy..or at least some basic information?

2.) Am i wrong is even asking for that information?

I'm in my 9th year of H1B which is going to expire in about six months. My employer is suggesting to extend H1B and not use or extend EAD. Based on your experience and knowledge please post your advise. If a post like this already exists, please point me to that. I could not find one easily. Thanks a lot.

Irrespective of whether EAD is used, one should always extend EAD as a backup. ( Especially in this economy)

Best way to get your points across is by Writing to Fawn Johnson at fawn.johnson@dowjones.com and the editors. There are going to be thousands of comments and nobody will have time to go through them. But someone will definitely read your emails.

Do mention about immigrationvoice so that the reporter can come to our site and us for more information. No point posting comments and engage in nasty comment war with antis. You cannot change their ugly mindset no matter how well you try to explain. These over the hill racist nutjobs have nothing else to do in life than spend their time on such sites to post their comments. Rather than learn new technologies, upgrading their skills, innovate or start new companies they waste their time in xenophobic agenda. They are just afraid of competition and unwilling to work hard.

So write emails and put in effort where you will get more benefits.

If you ask " Why Am I responsible for low media attention?" My answer is each and every Legal Skilled Immigrant is responsible for this. We are a tribe who do not believe in shouting on the roads. We think this is cheap!

Trust me, this is not being done in any cheap manner. It is not cheap to ask what you deserve. It is not cheap to express one's opinion in a diginified manner not offending anyone. It is not cheap to explain your problems to your lawmaker.

If you think that participating in this rally is cheap and only uneducated would shout on the roads, then come to DC to witness PhDs, MBAs, PMPs, CPAs, Attorneys and some of the brightest and the best minds shout at the top of their voice to fix the broken immigration system.

Hello,Our organization is limited to issues with employment based immigration. your friends case seems like a Family based Case and we do not have the right people to help you with your friends situation.

though I can understand the advice ..I don't understand the reasoning ..an immigrant is an immigrant whether it is family or employment ..I would think that IV should try to increase its reach and not become an exclusive club...
Rique ..as far as I can think ..it is a very personal decision ..so it is difficult to give any advice ..maybe a lawyer can help. ofcourse the final decision would have to be taken by your friend.

I e-filed both my EAD and AP. My EAD has been approved while I just recieved an RFE for Photos for AP. I was under the same assumption and did not send in the photos earlier. I did send it now with the RFE.

My 2 cents, When they ask for something give it to them. I mean if they need to take fingerprints every year with EAD, this is much less stupid.

Guys,
Please answer me the following question?

I have a masters from US and over 2 years of exp when I joined my company. They filed for my LC. There is nothing in form 750 B ETA that says if I am EB-2 or EB-3. In fact the line line 14 is blank which says list documents that support education, training, experience..etc. to be submitted during I-140. I suspect though on ETA 750 form A they made the advertisement as if I am eb-2. So the question is I do not see anything on line 14 of ETA form B. Is that a big blunder.
Did my lawyer blunder or I am ok?
My labor is not cleared yet. So no way to check I-140.

I know few things
ETA 750 FORM A probably filed as EB-2 (I have to believe my lawyer, they say I have been filed as EB-2 on repeated request).
ETA 750 form B of which I have a copy of (it was the one that I had to fill), line 14 says Item 14. Documentation. List any documents submitted with this form as evidence of the alien's qualifications. These may include statements from past employers, diplomas, and educational or training certificates. now this column is blank. Is that a problem? Did my lawyer made a big unrectified mistake.

Every lawyer is a businessman. And every businessman has a success story to tell to advertise himself. And you are unknowingly doing viral marketing. Look up on Google what viral marketing it. Has any of these lawyers done viral marketing of IV or greencard backlog action items on their forums and newsletters? So why are you advertising them? You go around town asking lawyers if they did any case successfully Showing a Valid Employer-Employee Relationship. And you will mostly get Yes answer so that they get more business. So why promoting only one lawyer.

it dont just sound like you have dust on your sensor. you do have dust on your sensor. at this point you have 3 options. you can do what nikon and canon recomend and blow the dust out with a blower bulb at wich point your head may explode from the frustration of NOT getting the dust of since it clings to it through static charge. the next and most stress free way to do it is to find a local camera shop that will clean it for you (not all will do this for you however). the service is available here in okc for 85 smakaronies. The should use a stero scope to get down there and get every piece of dust off so that your sensor will be back to the original shape absolutely no dust. or you can be brave and make a small investment on ecipse cleaning solution and cleaning swabbs. the solution is streakless after it dries. also get a special set of cleaning brushes that you can swipe across the sensor without scratching the sensor. as i said the method i recomend is paying the mola to have someone else do it as when i tried to clean my sensor i was so nervouse i just did not trust myself to do a good job.

Gurus,

I have LUD on my I-140 and its 07/13/2008.LUD of my I-485 is not changed at all.I have changed my employer and I have not applied AC-21.I'm in H1B.
Should I worry about my previous employer revoking my I-140.Please help me out.Should I call USICS to know whether they have revoked my I-140?

My I-140 was approved on July 2006 and I applied I-485 on July 2 2007 and I changed
my employer after 180 days.
LUD on I-485 is Aug 2007

I was looking at the discription but couldn't figure it out. Which category does parents fall into? Does anyone know hot long it takes for parents to receive GC under ROW?

Only US citizens can apply for parenst . There is no quota for it and so no backlog. July the processing delay which si not much.

Actually instead sibling (F4) it is faster for
USC to parent getting GC followed by GC parents to unmarried children or GC parent to USC and then to other married children.
