Wondering if this is possible here. I am an active member of other forums that has this feature and I find it very convenient. Thoughts?:)

It seems that every winter the Graphic's Labs in the Art building are very cold, especially with G5's. And in the Summer the room is uncomfortably hot.
But that is nothing compared to the fact that the photography darkroom is right above the G5 lab and a few years ago there was a leak from the pips. So, some genius decided to use some pipes and just divert the flow to the outside. You can still see the pipes used. Also, there is a very high pitched, ear ringing, sound emitted from the giant machinery hanging from the ceiling. At times even headphones can't block the noise.

I have a feeling this is going to open up a lot of loopholes and backdoors for foreign developers.
Why? There were already a bunch of languages and have been for a long time.
Who does the translation?
A person who knows the language. (Or Google...but that's not a good idea. ;) )

Change the store to the U.S. store. In some cases it's enough to have your language settings on English. (e.g., just setting the store to Japan won't get you Japanese text for app descriptions--if available--you have to set your computer to Japanese as well.)

I think there is definitely a market that would buy these things, I mean some people do pay $15,000 for a TV right, and I think there are plenty of labs and such that use Apple's and could use a 30" screen. And as far as the current economy goes, this is rumored to be a year or more away so that isnt really an issue either, they also stated that it would have the same resoulion as the 23" one now. The digital lifestyle device is a tough one though, there are so many rumors about PDA's and phones that's it's almost impossible to say.
Personally if it was one of those two I think it would be the phone, Jobs has stated before that PDA's may be ancient and pointless now and "one day you won't even think about using a (cell?) phone without a computer...)

The only person with the source is I0n1c and he was out of the country last update so it took him some time to compile new binaries for the release (if needed).
This could also be why it's not patched yet - with no access to the source it's harder for Apple to reverse engineer the exploit and discover what they are doing. With a need to get the update out so fast they probably didn't bother. I expect it to be in the next patch though.....

Any new information on baseband unocks will be revealed by the iphone dev team. They are the ones responsible for free unlocks. They have a blog it's here: http://blog.iphone-dev.org/

Paying $30 to protect a $99 product? That is the craziest thing I have ever heard. Please, the shuffles are made of impact-resistant plastic and solid state memory. And it has no screen!
Imagine paying $9,000 for a weather cover for your $30,000 car.
If you want to protect the shuffle from scratches, a 1 cent piece of saran wrap will do the job probably more efficiently.

There's no practical reason behind letting the battery completely die and then charging it to 100% like what you described. Lithium ion battery technology has progressed a lot since the times when that was helpful. Also, confirming what previous posters have said, iPhone 4 will shut off the power that flows into the battery when it's fully charged. The iPhone will then run off the charger's power until you unplug it. And turning it on and off completely won't harm the phone, although there's not much advantage to doing so unless you are low on battery and you need it later on.

I jailbreak my iPod 2 gen 4.2.1 with greenpois0n and it won't install cydia because it's not enough disk space and I restore and it say have 6.5 gb how can I get all 8 gb back and will iOS 4.1 work on greenpois0n if so can someone let me now... Thank

Well I agree with the original review completely this thing is just awesome and i have had absolutely no problems (sometimes its slow to wake from sleep but thats OS X). It's not to heavy to carry long distances in my opinion but I am a football player so I do alot of weightlifting. As far as the trackpad goes its fine not slow at all. Oh and by the way the couple times I have taken this thing out in public I havent felt akward just a little envied :p . Seriously though you will have people coming up to you asking about it all the time, they all assume its a sony vaio until I shoot that idea down a quick lid close and they know it's apple all the way :D
