Attach any tripod, even a cheap one. Extend legs of tripod, but don't open it out. Just hold it and use it as a stabilising arm, either grounded, or off the ground.
I've had excellent results like that. Bonus is you can use it as a handheld crane and get very good angles you couldn't get otherwise.
I've been known to open the elbow to 90 degrees and run along with the camera an inch above the grass to get the worm's eye view.

Out of curiosity, why did you use a third party charger? I've done it a few times with other devices, but it's always been with quality, branded chargers (like charging my Kindle with my BlackBerry's charger), but I wouldn't dare do that with my iPad unless I knew it was top quality since so many of those third party chargers, like third party batteries, can damage your equipment.
By the way, I think using a third party charger may have voided your warranty anyway. At least on some devices I'm pretty sure it does.

The first thing you need to confirm is that the logo is indeed in vector form when you open it in Illustrator and not just a bounding box indicating pixel-based art.
Toggle the keyboard shortcut Command + Y or go to the pulldown menu View > Outline (or alternatively Preview) to view your art in both modes.
If you have actual vector art, then check the following...
• Pulldown menu Window > Layers - are there any locked layers?
• Pulldown menu Object - is Unlock All in black? That would indicate an object has been locked.
Those would be two things to check.
I've checked these things that you've mentioned, but the problem is that I just can't find an option to cut a piece out of the logo. Here is an example (imagine it as a nicely designed logo):

Pretty sure they cannot play MP3 CDs. I don't even think the MP3 CD format existed when the PS2 came out (MP3 files existed, but no one had yet thought of making a CD player capable of playing them directly).

Everytime I upgrade to a new version of LR I try Aperture, I tend to find it struggles badly on my Mac Mini - Lightroom doesn't set the world on fire in terms of performance - but it works.
For me LR is a more polished application, I have no issues with the interface (used it from Beta version) or the need to switch from Library to Develop modules.

Now that we've upgraded the forum software (see announcement), users can create personal albums with photos or other images.
Albums
Each user's photos are organized into albums. Each album has a name. Each photo has a title and can have comments from other users.
Each user has an album page that shows one photo from each album and lets you click to view that album.
There is a main album page (http://forums.macrumors.com/album.php) (Choose Pictures & Albums in the Community menu) that shows a selection of albums.
Creating albums and photos
The steps are straightforward. To add an album, go to the main album page and click Add Album or go to your own profile page and click Add Album or Show All Albums (on the right-hand side of the page).
When you create an album you can choose whether it is public (all site visitors can see it) or private (only your contacts and friends can see it).
Once you are looking at an album, click Upload Pictures. It works like the Attachments feature for forum posts.
While viewing a photo you can click Edit Album or Edit Pictures to change an album name, delete an album, change or delete a picture, etc.
One photo in each album is designated the "album cover", the photo that appears in your album display. Choose it when you add a photo or click the "This is the album cover" button when editing the photo's page later.
When you are in the edit view of one of your photos, you'll see Picture URL and BB Code boxes. You can copy the text and paste it into forum posts to put a link to your photo, or the photo itself, in your post.
The "Me" album: photos of you!
We've established a convention that will make it fun for users to find photos of other forum users.
If you would like to post photos of yourself, create an album with the name "Me" -- make sure it has exactly that album name -- and use it to post one or more photos of yourself, alone or with other people.
You can still post photos of yourself in forum posts, in other albums, or use your own photo as your avatar or profile picture. Having a "Me" album is completely optional and voluntary. However, please do not post photos in an album named "Me" unless you are in those photos, since that would be misleading. Being able to place the original and edited 8x10 next to each other on a 27" screen and have enough unused screen to locate your tools whether photoshop, elements, aperture, lightroom will make you quickly loose interest the MBP 17 or 15. Besides, or what advantage is portability in your main photo crunching Mac? Your mac should be color calibrated, and your printer should match the screen output. The ambiant lighting in your studio and your seating position should be a fixed constant, so you will "see" every before & after the same way. This is especially important when editing on i:eek: glossy screen, which adds its own "coloration" to the image. A matte screen would transform this into a very serious image workstation. Maybe this option will be added to the list?

Ok, we are getting somewhere. When I press play after hitting capture now, the video starts playing. When I hit ESC to stop it, it does stop, but nothing happens. no dialog boxes asking me what to name it, and nothing appears in the browser.
The iMovie thing does work, but I'd rather do it "the right way." :)
Edit: I have got it working (thanks for all your help) but I still am doing it manually in the sense that it does not stop when there is a cut in the tape. I'd like to get each clip every time I started to record, and it is too hard to do manually. Should I just get out of this iMovie mindset or is it possible to do this?

Hi, I'm going to be ordering a 12" PB in the next couple of weeks, whether the much rumored revisions happen or not but in would be cool if they did. This will be my first Mac and I'm very excited but I have a couple of questions:

In my experience with Apple's BT mouse, I have only noticed lag when I had my BT keyboard hook up as well. Macally's mouse got great reviews, so I would recommend you go for it.
2) RAM - I'm going to max out the RAM (1.25g) so is there any advantage to the RAM Apple installs on built-to-order machines that makes it worth the $400 price tag or is this just the cost of convenience?

Any sort of laptop holder is fine. I have used the iCurve and am currently using the podiumpad (only real difference between them is height, the iCurve forces you to use an external keyboard) but besides that, you are going to be just fine. Fans wouldn't help much unless they were inside the case, but I have run Halo, the Doom 3 demo, Final Cut, InDesign, etc. without any problems. Yes, the internal fan does turn on and the powerbook gets warm, but never HOT.

i've generated my password file w/ the htpasswd command.
my .htaccess file looks like this:

Require valid-user
i've removed index.html from ~/Sites. when i browse to http://127.0.0.1/~zim, i get a directory listing, but no user/password challenge.
this is my first foray into apache. i've made no changes to the default install (i'm on osx 10.2.6). here's some apache info:

Server version: Apache/1.3.27 (Darwin)
Server built: 01/15/03 19:22:17
Server's Module Magic Number: 19990320:13
Server compiled with....
