I have a question for people who get fingerprinting notices to be done at San Antonio, Texas.
Do you people know of any childcare facilities that exist around that place to drop off toddlers during the finger printing process (I am not sure if they allow kids during fingerprinting).

My H1B and my wife's H4 visa were recently renewed for 3 additonal years. We also got new visas stamped in our passport valid for 3 years based on these H1B & H4 renewals.
Now I am planning to change jobs and will be applying for H1B transfer. My questions are:
- do I need to submit an application for transfer (new I797) for my wife's H4 visa
- can my wife travel out of US and then back into US on her current H4 visa while my H1B transfer application is being processed by INS.

You have to use I-824 if you change the consulate, if it is a consular case. If your I-94 is extended within america, there is no need. However because of PIMS, it is better to initiate a I-824 and get confirmation before proceeding for stamping. It is better to check your lawyer to get the right legal advise.

I am going to apply for a position in Oracle but do not know if it files green card or not. I am reluctant to ask this in the interview.(They may prefer somebody who does not need it) . Also I wonder if there is any wait time for them to file the green card after joining. I posted this because I think some of you might be working for Oracle and might be knowing. I would recommend you stick to you H1B by getting an extension on H1. The problem with EAD is that EAD extensions take long and there is no guarantee your EAD extension will be granted before the present one expires. If this were to happen you are out of status (ppl correct me here if I'm wrong). So maintain ur H1 status as far as possible.

Basically when going to neighbouring countries we give our I94 card and when entering the country(USA) they give a new I94card and stamp and put the date on it.
so is it advisable to go out of country and reenter that way i will have new I94 card with new date on it, My only concern i got my ssn does it mean i lost H4 status as H4 are never given ssn, so in this situation if i go out of country and enter again will they put me questions as i have valid visa, i never applied AP and applied EAD but never used it.

Right after that I kinda had an epiphany about not liking who I was becoming, and saw it wasn't where she was going, so I left, at about 3:00 in the morning, with her ring in my hand (she threw it at me), and the clothes on my back...
We will just say my life became much more spiritual from that night on... :cool:
